BACK TREATMENT.
Backs are so much in the forefront of fashion, so to speak, that the principal of a school for beauty specialists and masseuses is concentrating all her forces upon the latest treatments for backs fat and backs tbin. Girls who will be sent out when fully trained to tiie exclusive West End parlours are learning to use a new electric roller which removes flesh from the back and from under the shoulder, where it is forced into a tiny roll from the corsets now again in vogue. After half an hour's “rolling," the back is covered with a light liquid powder, with which is mixed an astringent, and _ this is lightly powdered if the client is going straight home to dress for dinner. The strong shades of purple, red and blue now being worn in the evening are one cause of the bleaching treatments that almost every woman finds necessary for her back, for all these colours demand a dead-white skin free from blemishes.
