Great Things From Ottawa
CANADIAN PREMIER’S OPTIMISM CALGARY, Sept. 6. Speaking here on Monday night the Prime Minister (Mr. Bennett), said ho believed that great things would result from the Ottawa Imperial Confercme. Ho added, however, that only through toil could prosperity be brought back. “By the true application of capital and labour to the rest.urccs of the country will come the uah-ation of our dreams of this Dominion. "We little realise the consequences of the Imperial Economic Conference. It will bring the economic unity of the Commonwealth of Nations. We are going to blaze a path to progress and show the world it can be done. It is a great experiment.’’ He declared Canada belonged to a family and that family was going to trade with itself so far as it could. His ambition, he said, was to see the Empire realise a prosperity that would defy outside efforts.
