PERSONAL.
The condition of Mr M. J. Suhau, who is an inmate of the Levin Private Hospital, continues to give cause for anxiety. Regret at his illness was expressed at the annual meeting of the Mauawatu Bowling Centre yesterday, .with hopes for his early icstoration to health.
The death has occurred in the Greytown Hospital of Mr John Daysh, aged 91, who arrived in Wellington with his parents in June, 1841, and had lived in the Wairarapa for the past 74 years. He had a family of five boys and five girls, of whom seven are still living, while there are 49 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren and one of the fifth generation of his descendants. Up till a week before his death Mr Daysh had all his faculties unimpaired and was hale and hearty. His father, the late Mr John Daysh, died at the age of 95.
Reports from the Palmerston North hospital stated that Mr William O’Donnell, of Weraroa, admitted on August 19, with severe concussion and a compound fracture of the skull, caused through being kicked by a horse, 13 still in a serious condition. Mr A. W. Mindo, of Palmerston North, who was seriously injured when the car 'he was driving went over a bank near Ballanee in July last, is now making satisfactory progress. Good progress is also reported in the case of Air Richa,rd Sands, of Shannon, who suffered, painful leg injuries on July 18.;
