Air Mail Services
AUSTRALIAN SUBSIDIES. MELBOURNE, Sept. 6. Referring to the burden of subsidising internal air mail services and to the inauguration of a service between England and Australia, the PostmasterGeneral, Mr. Fenton, said that he thought it preferable to have a large national oversea air mail service. This could be run at little more than what they were paying for various internal subsidised services, which competed with train and steamer services.
