Mr and Mrs J. 'Griffiths, who have been spending a 'holiday at Eketahuna have returned to Kimberley Eoad. The death occurred in Palmerston North last evening of Mr Charles William White, after a brief illness. The late Mr White, who was 59 years of age, was secretary of the Manawhenua. Rugby Union, president of the Manawatu Referees’ Association for over ten years, and at the time of his passing was secretary of the Manawatu. Rugby District Council. He was also secretary of the Palmerston North Garrison Band Committee.
