A message from Cologne states that Eraulein Aussom will not defend her title at Wimbledon. She has been ordered to rest. At Copenhagen, in the third round of the Davis Cup; Satoh (Japan) beat Jacobsen (Denmark), 6—l, 6— 9, 6—4, and Kuwabara (Japan) beat Ulrich (Denmark), 6—4, 6—2, 6—o. At Forest Hi 11.%, New York, Shields (U.S.A.) defeated Ricardo Pernambuco (Brazil), 6—l, 3—6, 6—3, B—o, ami Allison (U.S.A.) defeated Nelson Cruz (Brazil), 6—3, 6 — 2, 6 —3, on Thursday, in the American Davis Cup finals between the United States and Brazil.
