In the open golf championship, sixtyfour scores of 154 and under qualified for the two final rounds. Sarazen ■ (U.S.) -was the leader with an aggregate of 139. WEltcombe, Hartley, 149; Hodson, 150; Bradbeer, 151; Curtis, Ray Dobson, Mcßnvie, 152; Twine, D’Allemagne, Taggart, MeMinn, 154. Those who failed to qualify include Miyamoto 158, Duncan 160, de Forest 166. Michael Scott made no return.
