An emission from tlio published report of the annual meeting of the Horn© and 'School Association was the election of Mr L. R. Spencer as vice-pre-sident. Mr ,A. Tomlinson, who recently underwent an operation in the Levin Private Hospital, has returned to liis home in Devon Street, and is making satisfactory progress. Lord Brentford, whose death was cabled yesterday at the age of 68, was formerly iSir William Joynson-Hieks, who held office as Home Secretary in the 'Conservative Cabinet from 1925 to 1929.
