British Official Wireless. Received Wednesday, 9.50 p.m. RUGBY, June 7. In connection with the figures for employment and unemployment given in the Ministry of Labour’s statement for May it is estimated that approximately 9,402,000 insured persons between 16 and 64 were employed on May 23. The unemployed which included 430,828 women, 69,587 boys and 50,413 girls, comprised 2,001,227 wholly unemployed; 630,664 temporarily stopped, and 109,515 normally in casual employment.
