CALIFORNIAN TOWNS STJFi—i New York Times Broadcast. EUREKA, California, June 7. The citizens of this city and neighbouring towns to-day set about repairing property damage inflicted by Monday morning’s earthquake, which killed a woman and injured her husband. Most of the damage was confined to shattered windows and crumbled chimneys, breaks in water and sewerage systems, and partial disruption of communication lines. Highway pavements were cracked open in several places.
