AMERICAN FIRE-TRAP CLAIMS EIGHT LIVES. MANY THRILLING ESCAPES. (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Cojjyright.) (Received This Dav, 8.55 ajm.) NEW YORK, June 7. A Cleveland message states that eight are known to be dead and two missing as the result of an explosion and fire which swept a down-town apartment early-to-day. Four bodies were brought out and four others w r ere sighted by firemen. The fire chief believes that two more bodies are there. About thirty were burned or injured, while the rest of the two hundred residents were saved in dramatic escapes.
