OTAKI LICENSING BENCH.

annual meeting. The annual meeting of the Otaki Licensing Bench was held at noon on Thursday. Present: Messrs J. L. Stout, S. (chairman), T. O’Rourke, L. G. Lowry, H. Witehell, H. Nicolson, and T. H. Windley. All police reports were favourable and licenses were granted. It was stated that the Family Hotel was better than for yfcars past, and that the Manakau Hotel, since the conviction, had been much better conducted. The chairman expressed a hope that it would continue. He also complimented licensees on the conduct of their hotels, all police reports being good, hotels were well conducted, and he hoped that such would continue.
