ONE DEATH AND WIDESPREAD DAMAGE. New York Times Broadcast. EUREKA, Calif., June 6. Rocking the Northern California coastline, four distinct earthquake shocks caused widespread damage early to-day. One death and two serious injuries resulted in Eureka. The ’quake appeared to have centred along the coastline and Humboldt and del Monte counties, but it was felt ever an area 250 miles long and as far inland as Roseburg, Oregon. Chile Experiences Five Shocks NO CASUALTIES REPORTED. New York Times Broadcast. SANTIAGO DE CHILE, June 6. A series of five earthquake shocks was felt here to-day, beginning at 4.30 this morning. The longest lasted 20 seconds, causing the frenzied inhabitants to run into the streets. No casualties were reported.
