RIOTS IN BRISTOL.
PROCESSION CAUSES TROUBLE.
POLICE CHARGE UNEMPLOYED, CASUALTIES RESULTING.
DISORDERS RENEWED AT WESTMINSTER.

•Six thousand unemployed at Bristol- after being incited by Communist speakers, clashed with the police, and over thirty casualties ensued. Several of the police were injured.
The crowd marched to the council chambers with red Hags. The police attempted to divert the procession, but .were overwhelmed, and were forced to use batons. Pierce fighting developed. Reinforcements of mounted [police arrived and scattered .the crowd.’ The rioters rallied, and in two hours’ fighting 30 were injured. Photographs show .the police charging with upraised batons and several demonstrators being felled. In London these pictures caused 3000 men to make an attempt to reach Parliament House, but the House was strongly guarded and mounted police dispersed the mob. Some of the crowd attempt ed to destroy the flags on the Cenotaph, but were prevented from doing so by the police charge.
