Leckie and Donovan Fight a Draw

TARANAKI MAN VERY AGGRESSIVE NAPIER, Last Night. The fifteen-round open-air contest between Johnnie Leekie (Napier) and Tommy Donovan (Waitara) here tonight, resulted in a draw. Donovan was very aggressive throughout and had Leekie in difficulties on occasions. Leekie, however, did better in infighting than usual, while in the open his left troubled Donovan frequently.
