The naval part of the Japanese campaign at Shanghai appears to be nearing completion with the destruction of all -cover at Chapei and the surrounding districts. The intensive -bombardment is forcing the Chinese into the open country. A Japanese division intends landing at Liu Huo, roughly •twenty miles from Shanghai on the mouth of the Yangtse /preparatory to moving overland to attack the Chinese flank in open warfare which will probably drive the Chinese back •on Shanghai. There was heavy firing all night, the Japs shelling the 'Ohapei and Kiangwan districts which are now completely gutted. The Chinese are still offering considerable resistance. JAPANESE ENTRY INTO HARBIN. Received Friday, 10.30 p.m. TOKYO, Feb. o. The Japanese entered Harbin this morning.
