MANAWATU PLAY MANAWHBNUA COUNTRY CLUBS. INTERESTING MATCH AT HOKOWHITU. A team of 28 players drawn from the Levin, Shannon and Foxton Golf Clubs, playing under the title of Manawlienua Country Clubs, visited Hokowhitu over the week-end for a match against the Manawatu Golf Club. The course was in wonderfully good order •after the rain and the weather, though threatening early in the morning, ■cleared before a start was made and the match was played under very pleasant conditions. The contest resulted in a comfortable win for the home team which v/on 21 of the singles to five won by the visitors, two games being halved.
