Representatives of the Australian -.and New Zealand meat producers again urged upon the Lominions Office the ' ' difficulty of selling Empire-grown mutton in the face of South African competition. The reply indicated that-the Government was not likely to single out any industry for special or earlier protection, but that the meat question would ,-be considered with the whole question •’of imported foodstuffs..
