Another Candidate Has Rowdy Meeting
GISBORNE, Last Night Mr. Wl D. Lysnar, Xlplpendent (Coalition candidate for thej'Gisborne seat, opened his campaigns this, evening and for a considerable portion of the proceedings had a rowdy meeting, being continually heckled. The speaker re-asse;ted his independence in refusing to be. tied to an^party. He said the Coalition tag had been> offered to him by Mr. Forbes, bat he turned.it down and was assured'by Mr. Forbes that he would not give the tag" to anyoue else but him. The speaker condemned meat trust* and combines and threw much of the blame on the Reform Government.
