WORLD WATCHES EDISON'S FIGHT WITH DEATH.
'(San Franeiseo Examiner Broadcast). WEST ORANiGE, N.J., Oct. 8. As the indomitable Thomas A. Edison grew steadily worse to-day, inquiries as to the health of the aged inventor came from all over the world. President Hoover telephoned from Washington, through his secretary, asking that a daily bulletin of Edison's progress in his gallant fight with sdeath be sent to the White House. Henry Ford, who has kept in daily itouch with the Edison household since the scientist was stricken, also telephoned from Detroit. 7 He is in readiness to ; make the trip east.
