Edison Fights Losing Battle

NO HOPE OF RECOVERY San, Francisco Examiner’s Radio ■ Broadcast. WEST ORANGE, N.J., Oct. 5. A feeling of despair hung over the Edison estate, at Llewellyn park to-day as the 84-year-old Thomas A, Edison fought his slowly losing battle with death. Although to-day’s bulletins reported that Mr. Edison seemed a little brighter and had been able to take nourishment, Dr. Howe, of New York, said .that there was no chance for recovery.
