OVERDUE AT DANISH CAPITAL. (Received This Day, 9.35 a * m *) 'COPENHAGEN, June 25. The absence of news of the transAtlantic fliers Hillig and Horiis . fc causing anxiety. The airmen should .have landed this morning but they were not reported alter leaving Ne.v foundland. The “kew York Times’ * stated recently tliait a long-distance plane had been finished and turned over by the Bellanca Aucraft Corporation to Otto Hillig, Liberty (N.Y.) business man, whose choice was a “Pacemaker” type powered with a Whirl-wind “300” motor, for a fight from Liberty to Denmark, with intermediate stops at New York and Harbour Grace. His pilot, Holgar Horiis, was a native ot Denmark. After reaching Copenhagen the flyers would continue lo Germany :to visit' Hillig’s birthplace. DELAY ACCOUNTED FOR BY BAD WEATHER. FORCED LANDING IS FOLLOWED BY FINAL HO?. (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) BERLIN, June 25. Hillig and Horiis made a forced landing at Krefeld, in Germany, but immediately took off for Copenhagen. They .stated that they had lost their way When flying across Spain and France. Bad weather forced the airmen to fly for 13 hours at an altitude of 12,000 feet, so as to be above the clouds. They descended in the morning and flew close to the sea until they sighted the coast of Spain. They crossed the German frontier late in the afternoon. For 32 hours’ flying they have averaged 112$ miles an hour.
