“THE WORST IS OVER.” NOW IS THE TIME TO ADVERTISE • (<Sun Special). VANCOUVER, June 24. ' “Go back home and tell your''merchants now is the time to advertise, said Mr Roger Babson, the famous economist, addressing the Advertising Clubs.

Mr Babson said that he was willing to stake his reputation, based on 30 years’ varied experience, that business had passed its worst and that changes, though slow, will hereafter be in the right direction. Within a reasonable time, America and most of the world will enter another period of marked prosperity. “The most'conservative economists, who were ‘bearish’ a few years ago, are ‘bullish’ to-day, so far as the future is concerned, ’ ’ said Mr Babson, and added that the only real “bears” tp-day are the sold-out “bulls” of a few years ago.

“The country to-day is,'’ he continued, “like a man on his back. The only way hfe-- can look is- upward, if he looks honestly, and is not short of stock. “To-day, statistics point to another period of prosperity, the same as three years ago they pointed to the present depressing’ ’ Mr Roger Ward Babson, the statistician, founded Babson’s statistical organisation in Massachusetts. It now has branches in ,26 American’ cities. He is director of many companies and was director-general of information and education, appointed by the .
