The .first half of the programme tonight is broadcast from St. Andrew’s Cathedral, and features the Choristers and an organ recital by Joseph Massey. ‘ : Eedgum ’ ’ will give his usual gardening talk at 9 o’clock, and then 2FC crosses to 3LO Melbourne for a band and variety presentation. 2BL SYDNEY. Through 2BL Service the Mellow Fellows have been busy in collaborating in new song and story, and Mac and Max have attractive -sketches to offer. There are songs by Eileen Shuttle, comedy numbers by Frank Ryan, and Claude Corbett will give his sporting talk at 9.30. Selections by the A.B.cf. Orchestra conclude the evening presentation. PROGRAMME NOTES. A boy-soprano in the person of Master Ivan Dunn, will make his first appearance at IYA this evening. This lad possesses a voice that will please listeners. Mister Roe, always a welcome entertainer, will dispense ‘Radio Magic.’ The popular bass-baritone, Mr Ajbert Gibbons Taylor, will sing several numbers, also Mr Frank Campbell, another of Auckland’s outstanding bioadcasters, will be heard again. Mr J. M. Clark and Miss Joyce Hould. elocutionists, will give a scene from ‘The Honeymoon’ and also a scene from ‘Hamlet.’ Instrumental items will be given by the Orchestral Octet. 2YA’s programme this evening will consist of the broadcast on relay from rbe Victoria University College, Wolbngton, of a debate entitled "That Democracy is a Failure." Margherita Zelanda, coloratura soprano, who has been appearing at the YA stations under special engagement to the Broadcasting Company, will be featured at 3YA. A vaudeville turn in song and patter, the artists being Mr Lcs. Grummitt and Mr Albert Carlisle, will also form part of the evening’s programme. Miss Maisie Ottey, talented pianisto, will be heard in light' classical numbers and jazz noveßies. Mezzocontralto solos wall be contributed by Mrs. N. Bingham Pudclov, always an athretive performer. A bright instrumental nrogramme will be provided by the Studio Octet. The p rn-e, lar Select Four of 4YA will be heard in some well known concerted numbers and solos. Humour will be routributod by Mr Lester F. Holier. A very bright programme will be provided by the Irstrumertal Sextette.
