Germany’s Vanishing Navy

Received Tuesday, 9.50 p.m. LONDON, April 28

The Daily Telegraph’s Naval writer says Germany, in the interests of economy has decided to scrap all the obsolete material, including three battleships, three cruisers and 14 torpedoers. All the condemned vessels participated in the war. These scrappings reduce the navy to four battleships and five cruisers, which will be reinforced by the pocket battleship Erzat Preussen, which is being launched on May 19th, and the Leipzig, which is also approaching completion.
