WELLINGTON, This Day.

The Premier, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes Informed a Post reporter this afternoon that there had been no further development of the proposal to form a National Party excepting that he had received a large number of telegrams, many from representative citizens throughout the Dominion, expressing approval of the action he had taken.

In an interview, Mr J. G. Coates said he was not yet in a position to make any announcement.
