- CASES PENDING IN SPAIN. TQRMER DICTATORS TO GO TO TRIAL. EXTREMISTS CLAMOUR FOR ALFONSO’S BLOOD. /By Telegraph—Press Assn.-Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12 a.m.) MADRID, April 28th. The ex-D'ictator Berenguer’s arrest .-will probably begin a series of indictments for responsibilities under the dictatorship of' General Heredia, Cap-tain-General of Saragossa, under whose jurisdiction Gallan and Hernandez were condemned at Jaca. There will also be tried General Tranco, who has a brilliant Moroccan war record. A brother j of a noted Republican airman will defend Berenguer. Legal proceedings are pending against General Amido, who is now pleasurecruising in the Mediterranean. The Press of the Left continues to clamour for the blood of the Dictators and the indictment of ex-King Alfonso, but Senor Gerroux (Minister ■of Foreign Affairs), apropos of prosecuting Alfonso, says, “We might as well prosecute the moon.” Nevertheless an attempt will be made to induce 4he Cortes to open the case if the •Government will not.
