A popular programme through 2BL to-night is being relayed to 3LO Melbourne. The Savoyans will open the programme and there are comedy numbers by George Edwards; the Gresham Singers have collaborated in interesting musical quartetes; Mae and Max provide a happy interlude. There arc songs by Linda Hartge, contralto, and ‘Sidelights on Old Sydney’’ will be given at 9.30. PROGRAMME NOTES. The vocalists on lYA’s programme this sevening will include Miss Gwladys Edwardes, who is giving thesccond of her series of recitals at this studio, Miss Winifred Johnson (contralto) and Mr Leslie Belcher (tenor). A topical talk will be given by Mr A. B. Chapped, M.A. Fur the Orchestral Octet, a splendid programme of music has been arranged. The evening’s programme will conclude with a gramophone lec-ture-recital given by a Commentator.

2YA will be presenting the final instalment of the present series of international programmes, A new scries will begin the following week. Mr E. J. Howard, M.P,, will be the lecturer for the evening. 3YA will be relaying a public performance of the concert version of “Tannhav.sor” by the Royal Christchurch Musical Society. The Knox Church Choir is providing 4YA’s concert. This is an excellent vocal combination, singing under the direction of Mr C. Eoy Spademan. In the ranks of the choir are also sdmo fine soloists.
