K OPUTAROA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
ALL MEMBERS RE-ELECTED. The householders’ meeting for the election of the Koputaroa School Committee was held on Monday evening, with a fair attendance, over which Mr S. A. Broadbelt presided. The annual report and financial statement were adopted, the profit and loss account showing a credit of £lO 17s 3d. The report stated that a good year’s work had been done. The grounds hjtd been kept in order and the school in repair. During the period a septic tank system was installed, and it was working very satisfactorily. Most of the money required by the committee for this purpose had been raised by local effort, and there remained to pay off about £lO as the committee’s share of the liability. The committee were unanimously reelected as a body, the personnel being: Messrs S. A. Broadbelt (chairman), A. Mitchell, A. Hustler, Heavey and Mrs J. C. Laing. The Headmaster (Mr Phillips) thanked the committee for their interest in the school and the assistance, they had given him; and Mr C. H. Hood, on behalf of the residents, expressed their appreciation of the committee’s gqod work.
