POROUTAWHAO SCHOOL.

There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of householders at the Poroutawhao School last evening and a keen interest was evinced in the affairs of the school. Everything was found to be in good order and the finances in a very satisfactory condition. Five nominations were received for the committee, and, as this was the required number, an election was not necessary, and the following were declared duly elected:—Messrs H. J. Kilsby (chairman), H. Nicholson, (treasurer), Toko Graham, C. Arcus and S. Sloan. The retiring chairman (Mr S. L. Jackson) did not seek reelection.
