HOME HAIR TREATMENT.
STEAMING. For dandruff and other scalp ailments some hairdressers are advocating giving a course of steaming the scalp before massaging in the oil. This, steaming for from three to five minutes should be done intelligently and without the use of hot towels, if possible, as the towels are apt to weigh down the tissues. A thin oil such as olive oil is best for massaging, and after the steaming it should be massaged in with a rotary movement. If the steaming of the scalp is done at home, great care, naturally, should be exercised not to scald the face or the scalp. Water poured out into ap enamel jug or basin is safest. SCALP MASSAGE.
Before you begin tn brush the hair at night part it all over and massage the scalp, with the tips of the fingers. Bub in circles, gently but firmly, tlfil the skin is aglow. Did you know that sage tea is quite juseful in the early stages of greyness? Make your tea strong (equal parts of dried sage leaves and black tea), strain when cold, and apply with a clean toothbrush. Of course, when the hair gets reallw grey the tea will no ijOnger work the wonder. But' then a grey head of hair is as becoming as any other colour, if it is well cared for and nicely dressed.
