SCHOOL FOOTBALL.

QUADRANGULAR TOURNEY. In the primaiy schools Rugby tournament, the games were played yesterday on the Pctone Recreation Ground, and resulted: Rangitikei 10 v. Taranaki 6, Hutt Valley 16 v. Horowhenua 0. The latter w r as mainly a contest betAveen the forwards, neither of the back divisions handling the ball well. Horowhenua played a better game than that in which they were defeated by Taranaki on Saturday, but they were still lacking in combination, particularly among the backs. Four school Rugby districts, are represented in the Tourney—Taranaki, Rangitikei, Horowhenua and Hutt Valley. There will not be any play to-day as the teams are being entertained in Wellington. To-morrow afternoon, on the Hutt Recreation Ground, Horowhenua will meet Rangitikei, and Hutt Valley will be engaged against Taranaki. A conference of delegates and a farewell dinner will follow, and the teams will leave for their homes on Thursday.
