The Navy Department has agreed* to turn over to Sir Hubert Wilkins (the explorer) an obsolete submarine for Arctic explorations. Assistant Navy Secretary Jahncke has advised Sloan Daneenhower, Sir Hubert’s representative, to apply to the Shipping Board for the discarded submarine 012. The Navy Department is turning the vessel over to the Board for transference to Wilkins.
