ONE DROWNED IN MANAWATU REMAINS UNIDENTIFIED.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. A verdict that the deceased met his death by drowning in the Manawatu River was returned by the Coroner at the inquest Concerning the death of an unknown man w'hose body was found in the river on February 9th. The police gave, evidence that all efforts to establish the deceased’s identity had failed. There appeared to be a number of people with no kith or kin nor any friends, and their passing was not noticed.
