and the Ford Car A representative of the N,Z. Government visiting Canada some time ago watched the manufacture of cloth for upholstering Canadian Ford Cars. New Zealand wool was being used. Even during his visit an agent called at the factory offering more lines of New Zealand wool for purchase. The Colonial Motor Company Limited pionereed the “ built-in-New Zealand ” Motor Car, and the New Zealand Ford Industry gives employment to more people in this Dominion than does any other make of car. EVERY FOURTH MOTOR VEHICLE NOW BOUGHT IN NEW ZEALAND IS A FORD. THE Ford Tudor Sedan is upholstered in 80% wool material in an age when cheaper substitutes are freely used on cars costing many times more than the Ford. The time honoured phrase “All wool and a yard wide, Madam,” still commands respect with careful buyers. Wool is the hall-mark of quality in upholstery materials. This item, of particular interest to New Zealanders, is a criterion of the extraordinarily high quality given every item of construction in the Ford Car. That such exacting standards prevail on a small detail (but of more significance in this Dominion than lengthy lists of engineering specifications) reaffirms the truth that “built by any other than Ford methods _the Ford Car would cost twice to three times as much.” Other “costly-car” features included in the Ford are: Houdaille double action Shock Absorbers, Shatter’■Proof Glass, Motor Driven Horn {placed outside to avoid noise inside car and give better warning), thief-proof ignition lock , steel spoke wheels, front and rear bumpers, etc. THE COLONIAL MOTOR COMPANY LTD. * FACTORIES AT WELLINGTON, AUCKLAND, TIMARU.
