Michael O ’Grady, aged 60, single-, was killed by the overturning of a dray whilst he was working on* a contract with his brother at Kopua railway works this morning.- The horse took fright at a lorry and the dray went over a bank, crushing O’Grady beneath it.

Peter Muir, 44, married, farmer, of Manutuke, was found drowned in a creek at the back of his house at 8 o’clock this morning. Deceased went to milk the cows and when he did not return search was made, resulting ui the discovery of his body, fully clothed, and lying face downwards in nine inches of water.
