LOST IN THE ARCTIC.

TEARS TOR SAFETY OT EIELSON.

(By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Dec. 4.

A message from Nome states that Eielson and Mechanic Borland have been lost for a fortnight. All efforts to locate them for h fortnight have failed. Pilot Doroandt and Eielson recently made two trips to the steamer Nanuk> which is icebound at the North Cape, Siberia;. They brought to Nome furs worth a fortune. Eielson b'jcame lost during the third trip and serious fears are entertained that he is. starved or frozen, though there is always the possibility of the intrepid northerner hibernating with the Eskimo somewhere during the remainder of the winter.
