Douglas, Arizona, resembles au armed camp, 600 rough-riders with war experiencel having volunteered to go out and exterminate Apache Indians who have been a thorn iu the flesh-of the American and Mexican Governments for years. In 1926 the Indians ambushed the wife of Francisco Fimbres, killing her. They mutilated her body and kidnapped her oight-year-old son. , Fimbres pledged the remainder of his life t/> avenge the slaying, and has dogged the renegades’ trail ever since. He recently returned from the mountains and reported that the Indians had gone into their winter camp, which he cannot enter until the snows melt. Fimbres’ child is still with the band.
