Dominion Day

CELEBRATION IN SYDNEY. Received Monday, 7.15 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 23. The New Zealand Association in New South Wales celebrated Dominion Day by tendering a luncheon to the Premier, Mr. T. R. Bavin, and the Consular Corps. The president, Dr. Purdy, proposed the toast of the Dominion, to which the Government agent, Mr. W. R. Blow, responded on behalf of the Government and gave a few facts illustrative of the wonderful progress made by New Zealand since her first colonisation days. Mr. Bavin and Sir Henry Braddon also spoke eulogistically regarding the Dominion and urged a greater interchange of visits and ideas of the peoples of the two countries.
