HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPEED OF MOTOR VEHICLES THROUGH TOWNSHIPS. WHEREAS in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by “The Counties’ Act, 1920,” and its amendments and “The Motor Vehicles Act, 1924,” and the Regulations made thereunder and “The By-Laws Act, 1910” and all other powers vested in it, the County of Horowhcnua being a controlling authority as defined by the regulations of the 24th February, 192 S made under “The Motor Vehicles Act, 1924,” the Council of the said County of Horowhcnua by Special Order on the 13th day of July, 1929 made and ordained the By-law, the object and purport whereof is hereinafter set out, Public Notice is 'hereby given that the said By-law shall come into operation and effect in the said County of Horowhcnua on the Ist day of OCTOBER, 1929. OBJECT AND PURPORT OF BY-LAW Any person shall be guilty of an offence who drives a motor vehicle at a speed in excess of 25 miles per hour on the Wollingtou-Auckland Main Highway (via Taranaki) between any of the following points: — (a) In the Township of Waikanae from a point 1 chain 40 links north of Martin Street, to a point 2 chains ' south of Moana Road. (b) In the Township of Te Horo from a point 14 chains 70 links south of To Horo Beach Road, to a point 2 chains 50 links south of the Southern boundary of the Te Horo Railway Station. (c) In the Township of Manakau from a point 3 drains 70 links soutn of Waikawa Beach Road to a point 3 chains south of Gieeson Road. (d) In the Township of Ohau from a point 2 chains 50 links north of Ohau Terrace to a point 5 chains 70 links south of Miihunoa Road. Any person shall be guilty of an offence who drives a motor vehicle at a Speed in excess of 25 miles per hour oji the Levin-Palmerston North Higiiway (via. Shannon) between the following points: — (a) In the Township of Tokomaru from a point 1 chain 20 links north of Karaka Street to a point 1 chain 20 links south of Matai Street.
