LAND TAKEN FOR CITY MILK STATION.
COMPENSATION OF £6700 AWARDED TO AN OWNER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLLNGTO. ~ This Bay. The award in the case in which John Randolph Johnson, builder and joiner, claimed £10,850 compensation from the City Council for land fronting Alma. Lane, taken in connection with the new milk station, was delivered in the Compensation Court to-day by the Chief Justice (Hon. M. Myers). The claimant was awarded as compensation on all counts £6700; costs to be paid by the respondent to the claimant, £lO5, with other expenses in default of agreement by the Registrar. The fee of claimants’ assessor, £42, was .also to In* paid by the respondent.
