BLAMIE.ES CAUGHT AT 56.

In the Hawke Cup match this morning, Elamires and Morton resumed Wairarapa’s second innings, their side being 80 for three wickets. The century appeared after 90 minutes’ play. Elamires’ useful innings ended with the total at 124, Norris catching the veteran, who had made 56. Morton was the next batsman to lose his wicket. He hit Ongley hard to deep-field, and Gallichan took .a good catch. The score was then five for 140.
Scoring was very slow, K. Uttley and Patrick taking no risks; but when the score was 186 Patrick lost his wicket, being followed by Uttley. The eighth wicket fob with the score at 190.
