ASSAULTS ON GIRLS.
RECENT PREVALENCE IN A SYDNEY SUBURB. POLICE EXPECT TO CLEAR UP MYSTERY. (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) iSYDNEY, This Day. Six girls, whose ages range from three to 18, were.attacked in various parts of Leichardt by young men, who were later arrested and charged. One girl was knocked down in the street, and another had her dress torn. off. An assailant was chased by men and women from street to street, but he escaped his infuriated pursuers on each occasion. The police believe the ywill clear up the mystery of a number of indecent assaults which have occurred in that-suburb recently.
