The Foxtou Racing Club has no reason this year to regret the keenly debated decision to race a week before Anniversary Day, -which date it had held for so long and it is to be hoped there will be the same good fortune as regards the response of owners, the public and the weather clerk in the future. It was a very hot day, but there is ample shade on the course and an occasional puff of wind from the sea helped to fan the indefatigable bettors.
