"JACK AND THE BEANSTALK."
TO-NIGHT.
Dress rehearsals are over and as tke old phrase has it, “To-night’s the night.* *■ Some of the dancers who are taiang part in the pantomime, “Jack and the Beanstalk/’ have been practising for very nearly twelve months and if they have not attained that degree of proficiency usually displayed by professionals, they at least are instilled with sufficient confidence to put on a very successful "show. Last year Miss Mabel Dunlop and Mr Arthur Dempsey created a furore with their acrobatic fiance and the same duo are apnearing again this, year in an interpretative acrobatic adagio entitled “ Jalousie/ * that promises to be equally popular. The east of principals is not a big one, but the choruses, and ballets nlumber some 60 1 performers and, as there are in all over 200 costumes this alone gives one a lair indication of the variety of fare that will be offered. Miss Mvrtle Williams, of course, is the mainspring of the whole performance. iNot seen by the public, yet is the directing genius that is staging a pantomime on such a plane as is seldom attempted in any small tqwn, and it is almost certain that it will. receive the patronage that is Its just due. The prices of admission are:, 4/5, 3/4, and 2/-, including tax. ;
