OBITUARY.
MR C. M. SELLORS. Deep regret was-felt in .Levin when,:; it became known that yMr , Colin M.; 1 ; Sellers, who was injured in a motor'; accident on the Turakina Hill on Sunday, had passed away early this morn- . ing, at the Palmerston North hospital. The mishap was" a most unfortunate one, the engine failing at an awkward bend in-the road and causing the car to go over the bank backwards. The severe blow which Mr Sellors received on the back of the head rendered him unconscious, and, he remained in that condition in the hospital. Late yesterday afternoon it was thought that he - was improving slightly, .and his death comes as a severe-shock to relatives and friends. The late Mr Sellors, who wag tho only-son of Mv and Mrs J. A.'Sellors, of Levin, had four years of war service to his credit. He. was educated at St. Paul’s School, London, and after a trip to the West Indies he was engaged in business in the City. A few months after the outbreak of the Great War, he Vent to the front as a motor despatch-rider, and served for about 12 months in that capacity. He was then sent Home to qualify for a commission, and he rejoined the forces in about eight week's, serving with the Middlesex Regiment as a second lieutenant. Towards the close of the war, he returned to England and qualified as an observer in the Royal Flying Corps. He resumed business in London after the war, but owing to the state of' his health he came out to Australia in 1922 and to New Zealand early in 1927, spending a little time in the Auckland district and then taking up his resi--denee in Levin, where he took oyer the; motor garage business formerly run by Messrs StilwelL and Go. The late Mr Sellors was married almost a year ag > to. Miss Joan Beyan, daughter of Mr and JMrs Thomas Bevan, of Levin. He had made a great many friends here and was esteemed for' his unfailing,:good nature no less than for his business ability. The heartfelt sympathy of the community will b; extended to his widow, to Mr and Mrs. J, A. Sellors,, and to the respected family with whom he was connected by marriage in the untimely bereavement that‘has overtaken them. The funeral will take place as announced, to-morrow afternoon. '
