TRAGIC END OF A MINISTER OF JUSTICE.
. FOUND DROWNED AFTER WHIPPING HONOUR VINDICATED. I Australian Press Association. Received Monday, 11.5 p.m. . BERLIN, Sept. 24. Dr. Buckner, Minister of Justice in Mecklenburg, who was horsewhipped l.,*v a, nephew oh Tuesday in the maiu street of" Schwerin in the presence of a large crowd, was found drowned in iSchwerin lake. Dr. Buckner's brother recently married a widow with a daughter, of 19 and a son of 18.. Dr. Puckner invited the girl to accompany him on a visit to Switzerland. The brother, not suspecting, agreed. During the trip the Minister and the girl fell: in love. On his return, the girl •committed suiside, " whereupon her brother horsewhipped Dr Buckner. To vindicate the family honour, Dr. Buek- • ner left Schwerin and his body, has, now been found in the lake.
