Hobson); , The display is a very attractive one, ten ‘ de- > corated barrows having been entered, v all of which are laden, with tempting wares. were offered for the best:, and -the judging was carried out by Mesdames "W. M. Clark atfd ;K. Aitkbn/ who had considerable difficulty in allotting the premier position because:- the artistic---merit was obvious in every ease. The first prize was awarded to the cake barrow, prettily• ornamented in a scheme of mauve and pink,/ and entered by Mesdames Morton, Will and Pirani. various other prizes were allocated, particulars of which will- ha published to-morrow. The grand march, by the barrowholders took place at 3 p.m. and will be given again at 8 o’clock. Admission is free this'afternoon/but a charge of sixpence will be made this evening, when there will be a programme by the Whak at one Club. Excellent refreshments are obtainable,' a tea-room having been an-anged on the Hiti/ile platform. The goods on sale cover a wide range, and include something to ploaae everybody, so the promoters should be able to return home with barrows empty and "with the satisfaction of having helped a worthy. cause. •
