CONSIDERABLE PROGRESS INDICATED. <By Telegraph-Press Assn .-CopyrightA (Times Cable). (Received This Day, 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. The Times’ correspondent at Constantinople says that, Mustapha Keraal, the Turkish Nationalist leader, has returned' to Angora after a tour of Northern Turkey, the object of which was to instruct the population in the new alphabet. He says he, is highly satisfied witty the progress made. Everybody in Turkey in a few years will be able to read and write. Orders have been issued, that all correspondence throughout Turkey after October must -employ the new alphabet. Newspapers will be subsidised to assist in the purchase of new printing machines.
