A GENEROUS ALLOWANCE.
R.S.A. SATISFIED WITH DISBURSEMENT OF PATRIOTIC FUNDS; (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The executive of the Standing Committee of the- New Zealand Returned. Soldiers Association, recently considered the criticism of some members of Parliament that- distribution of funds by patriotic societies had not been as liberal as should have been. The Standing Committee was unanimously of opinion that the criticism was not justified. It was satisfied that .the funds at all times had been generously disbursed within the, limits of the trusts. Further, £SOOO bad been made available by the National War Funds Council to provide relief for out of work soldiers, a contingency possibly not contemplated by the original donors and an additional £SOOO had been made available for that purpose this winter —a generous allowance.
